Sports facilities „Heerenschürli“ (2009)
Zurich-Schwamendingen (Switzerland)
With a space of 15 hectare, the sports facilities „Heerenschürli“ are one of the three major centers for lawn sport in the city of Zurich.
The architecture of the cloak room is based on a rectangular ground plan and composed in two components: a basic single-story construction, including the entire space allocation plan, which is covered by a draped, wavelike bended shell. In approximately eight meters, the angular point devides the roof in the flatly sloping east side and the sharper diclined west side.
In contrast to the colorful outside world, the inside is dominated by the color shade of silver – every user brings in a bit of liveliness and color. The robust architectural details consider the intense utilization of the sports facilities.
